Kelly Hamlin

Technical Director

Kelly Hamlin is excited to join the Austin High School theatre family and can’t wait to get to know her students, colleagues, and the Austin community. She has been teaching theatre for over 15 years and is passionate about helping students build confidence, creativity, and meaningful connections through the performing arts. Mrs. Hamlin holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Houston and a MFA in Theatre from the University of Georgia. Throughout her career, she has been honored to design and direct award-winning productions, mentor student leaders, and celebrate her students’ success in performance, technical theatre, and competition. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Hamlin enjoys spending time with her husband and children, making art, and being outdoors. She is looking forward to an incredible year of learning, creating, and sharing the joy of theatre with the Austin High School community.
